Metalub has successfully completed the acquisition of U.S. company Aeropec Defoaming Technology Inc. (“Aeropec”), leading supplier of defoamers to the north America market, final acquisition was earlier than originally expected effective January 14, 2015. Since specialty chemicals, water treatment chemicals, and in process additives are the main pillars of Metalub business, Aeropec defoamers will complement the current Metalub portfolio combined in a new “Foam Control – Defoamers” business unit. With the acquisition of Aeropec, Metalub is building on its own additives portfolio. The company becomes a major actors in this growing market.
